2025 SILICON VALLEY OPEN TAEKWONDO CHAMPIONSHIP - Saturday, October 11th

Our Poomsae and Sparring teams will be competing in the 42nd Silicon Valley Taekwondo Championship this October! Please come show your support! If you would like to learn more about the event, you can find more information on their website.

Demo Team Captain Election

• Team Captain Candidates Presentation and Debate Wednesday, November 19th, during class.

• Election during class Wednesday, December 10th.

BLACK BELT CANDIDATES NEWS

Fall 2025 Candidates Final Rehearsal - Thursday, October 30th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm

The final rehearsal for Fall 2025 black belt candidates will be held at the First Covenant Church gym, located at 400 Redwood Rd, Oakland, CA 94619

FALL 2025 BLACK BELT TEST CEREMONY - Saturday, November 1st at 11:00am

Our Fall 2025 black belt final test will be held at the First Covenant Church gym, located at 400 Redwood Rd, Oakland, CA 94619. There will also be a Demo team performance in celebration of our new black belts!

SPRING 2026 CANDIDATES Parent Meeting - Monday, October 20th at 7:00pm

National Bullying Prevention Seminar

As part of Han Martial Arts’ ongoing commitment to serving the local community, our Masters will be conducting bullying-prevention seminars at local elementary schools throughout October. These sessions will be presented in much the same way as those held at the start of the previous school year for our own students, offering practical tools, confidence-building, strategies, and valuable lessons in respect and resilience to help students prevent bullying.

ASA Martial Arts Summit

Our management team will be attending ASA from October 2 - 4th to discover ways we at the studio may provide better service to you, our members!

November Junior Belt Test

Saturday, November 1st - HELD AT THE BLACK BELT TEST CEREMONY

Juniors will be having their belt test at the First Covenant Church gym, located at 400 Redwood Rd, Oakland, CA 94619.

• 9:00am: White - Advanced Green belt levels

• 10:00am: Blue - Advanced Red belt levels

MAKE UP TEST FOR JUNIOR BELTS HELD Saturday, November 8th (at the dojang)

• 9:00am: White - Advanced Green belt levels

• 10:00am: Blue - Advanced Red belt levels

November Tiny Tiger Belt Test

Monday, November 3rd - Friday November 7th

Tiny Tigers will have their belt test throughout the week on November 3rd during regular class hours, so please arrive with your belt test slip to take your test!

Parents’ Night Out - TWO UPCOMING EVENTS
